For those who want a bit more speed and durability WD’s Black series is available in four terabyte options. It’s not the fastest hard drive on the market but it still has a decent advantage over most other models. It’s also very affordable with a great warranty.
8TB is a nice milestone, it took some time to get here but it’s still a big leap up from the previous high mark of 6TB. The Black’s performance is on par with the best SSDs out there but it’s a little bit more expensive and the new model requires a heatsink so it might be a little tricky to fit into some laptops. It’s also double-sided so you will lose some compatibility compared to single-sided drives like the 900 Pro and SN850X.
